MIKKEL HANSEN, 2008

VS. RUSSIA
At the 2008 Olympics, a young national team substitute burst onto the world stage. In the group stage against Russia, Denmark was awarded a free throw in the last second with the score tied at 24-24. Only an impossible screwball would secure the victory – and that’s precisely what Mikkel Hansen delivered. The goal marked the beginning of Hansen’s illustrious career.
